Role Overview
The Lead Specialist – Lab Operations will be responsible for the overall management, maintenance, and operational performance of laboratory equipment deployed across Primary Health Centres (PHC), Community Health Centres (CHC), District Hospitals (DH), and Government Hospitals (GH) under the Chhattisgarh State Project. The role focuses on ensuring high equipment uptime, efficient manpower management across zones, timely breakdown resolution, and compliance with service level agreements.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee maintenance and operational performance of Hematology analyzers and Semi-Auto
Biochemistry analyzers across government hospitals.
Ensure minimum equipment uptime of 95%.
Manage and supervise service engineers and support personnel across 5 operational zones.
Allocate manpower effectively to ensure service coverage from PHC to GH level.
Ensure breakdown calls are attended within 24 hours of complaint registration.
Ensure breakdown complaints are resolved within 7 days.
Implement strategies to avoid repeat equipment failures and service delays.
Ensure no service calls enter the penalty category under the project SLA.
Maintain preventive maintenance schedules as per contract requirements.
Coordinate with hospital authorities and government officials for smooth project execution.
Manage operational budget including manpower, logistics, and service expenses.
Prepare periodic service performance reports, uptime reports, and compliance reports.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics, Instrumentation, or related technical field.
6–10 years of experience in biomedical equipment service management or healthcare project operations.
Experience in managing government healthcare projects is preferred.
Required Skills
Strong manpower and field service team management skills
Ability to manage multi-location service operations
Knowledge of hematology analyzers and semi-auto biochemistry analyzers
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Ability to coordinate with hospital authorities and government stakeholders
Language Requirement
Fluency in Hindi is mandatory for coordination with field teams and hospital staff.
Basic English communication skills for reporting and documentation.
Other Requirements
Willingness to travel extensively across Chhattisgarh.
Strong leadership ability to manage and control field manpower.
Capability to handle high-pressure service environments and SLA commitments.
