Role Purpose
The Manager – Calibration Services is a strategic leadership role responsible for end-to-end management, governance, and continuous improvement of Cyrix’s PAN-India calibration and QA operations. The role covers NABL-accredited medical devices calibration, thermal discipline, micropipette calibration, and AERB-authorized QA/DXE services. The incumbent will ensure regulatory compliance, technical excellence, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction across North and South India.
Scope of Operations
The role has PAN-India responsibility with operational control over multiple regional teams. Two Deputy Managers (North & South) report functionally to this position. The Manager will establish uniform systems, procedures, and performance benchmarks across all locations.
Key Responsibilities – Operations Management
• Lead and oversee calibration operations across North and South India.
• Ensure equitable workload distribution and optimal utilization of manpower and standards.
• Monitor service turnaround time (TAT), SLA adherence, and operational KPIs.
• Ensure uninterrupted calibration and QA services to hospitals, diagnostics, and institutions.
NABL Accreditation & Technical Leadership
• Act as technical authority for ISO/IEC 17025 and NABL-accredited activities.
• Ensure compliance with NABL 126, NABL 130, and applicable NABL circulars.
• Review and approve calibration methods, uncertainty budgets, traceability chains, and SOPs.
• Lead NABL surveillance, reassessment, and scope expansion audits.
• Address non-conformities, CAPA, and continual improvement initiatives.
AERB QA / DXE Responsibilities
• Oversee AERB-authorized QA Service Agency (DXE) operations.
• Ensure compliance with AERB safety codes and regulatory guidelines.
• Maintain liaison with AERB authorities for renewals, audits, and reporting.
• Ensure authorization, competency, and training of QA engineers.
Quality Assurance & Governance
• Establish a robust report validation and authorization framework.
• Ensure 100% accuracy, traceability, and regulatory compliance of calibration reports.
• Conduct internal audits and management reviews.
• Standardize documentation, formats, and workflows across India.
Team Leadership & Capability Development
• Lead, mentor, and develop Deputy Managers, Technical Managers, and engineers.
• Define competency matrices and training plans.
• Conduct technical reviews, performance appraisals, and succession planning.
Planning, MIS & Strategic Support
• Forecast annual calibration volumes and manpower requirements.
• Plan procurement of NABL-compliant tools, standards, and reference equipment.
• Review MIS dashboards and present reports to senior management.
• Provide strategic inputs for business growth and new service verticals.
Qualifications & Experience
• B.E / B.Tech / M.Tech in Biomedical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or Medical Physics.
• 12–18 years of experience in NABL-accredited calibration laboratories.
• Minimum 5–7 years in a managerial or leadership role.
• Proven experience handling NABL and AERB audits.
